Licensed Practical Nurse

Permanent Full-Time Position
Peguis Home and Community Care is seeking applications for a Home and Community Care Nurse to provide quality nursing services to the community of Peguis.

Position Summary:

  • The HCC Nurse will receive direct supervision from the Home and Community Coordinator
  • Provide direct service nursing to home care clients in the community
  • Assist in case management, assessments, care plans, and electronic data input.
  • Willing to accept training as required

Qualifications:

  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
  • Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and vehicle required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication, time management, organizational and computer skills
  • Foot Care Certification an asset

Restaurant Cook/ CASHIER

Peguis Midway Services invites interested applicants for the position of Restaurant Cook/Cashier for Peguis Midway Service.

Applicant should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience in food preparation and serving area to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
  • Resolves routine problems encountered in performance of work assignments. Ability and willingness to work varied shift and hours throughout the week, a mixture of evenings and weekends.

Training opportunities

Bachelor of Education/ After Degree Program

The Peguis School Board and Fisher River Cree Nation Education Authority in partnership with Brandon University’s Faculty of Education are in the process of developing a full-time teacher education program. The focus will be Early-Middle Years stream.

The program is seeking at least 30 applicants who are interested in the field of education.
Students will have the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Arts/ Education Degree. Students who are eligible for admission to Brandon University are encouraged to apply. Mature student status will also be considered in the enrolment process.
