LOCATION

Position located out of Peguis, Manitoba

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for organizing and overseeing the efficient and smooth operation of all aspects of Bingo and ensures a high standard of customer service. The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in compliance with Peguis Gaming Commission requirements, as well as the organization’s internal controls, policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Program Administration

  • Develop and maintain budget for Bingo; including revenues and expenses; 
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and compliance with internal bingo controls processes and procedures;
  • Manage inventory control; daily and monthly; including entering data on excel spreadsheet;
  • Ordering supplies required for Bingo including bingo paper and dabbers;
  • Oversee the setup and clean-up of the bingo hall, including communication with custodial staff, as needed;
  • Ensure that a clean, safe and organized work environment is maintained in the Bingo game area in compliance with Bingo safety standards (ie. access to Bingo area and designated entry/exits)
  • Maintain regular attendance record for each Bingo game;
  • Develop and plan monthly and special events per fiscal year and the marketing of; 
  • Determine and communicate specials, door prizes, giveaways, and other incentives for Bingo;
  • Approve jackpots and payouts and ensures the all appropriate forms are completed
  • Reconcile cash and credit at the end of each game
  • Accountable for maintaining the operating budget for the Bingo Program and managing operations within the approved budget
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding problems such as payout errors

Leadership &Supervision

  • Schedule and monitor Bingo staff/volunteers to ensure that bingo games are adequately staffed for each shift, arranging for staff breaks and substitute employees as necessary;
  • Develop and clarify Bingo staff performance standards;
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of all Bingo Team Member, direct work, provide consistent feedback, and enforce performance standards
  • Recruit and manage Bingo volunteers, and new hires;
  • Engage respectfully with Bingo customers, the general public, vendors, and staff;

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age;
  • Minimum of two years direct cash handling experience in Bingo/Gaming field;
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience;
  • Ability to operate and program bingo machines and call bingo games
  • Excellent Customer Service skills;
  • Strong math, and leadership skills and the ability to engage respectfully with players, the general public, and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and take/give direction well;
  • Must submit a satisfactory criminal check
  • First aid / CPR certification, however if you do not have training will be provided

• LANGUAGE SKILLS – the ability to read and interpret documents such as Bingo and Safety rules, and operating & procedure manuals; the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS – the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and statistical inference.

• REASONING ABILITY – the ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS – the ability to stand and walk through floor isles for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy items in the range of 5-15 lbs. You will be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

Minimum Preferred Qualifications:

  • Grade 12; MS Office Word and Excel; Previous Bingo Manager Experience preferred however training and experience will be considered
  • Knowledgeable of Liquor Gaming Cannabis Authority Guideline and Gaming Rules and Peguis Gaming Commission
